Champagne Lacroix was established in 1968 by Jean Lacroix. Jean was joined by his son Anthony in 1999 after he had completed his wine studies at Avize University.
Lacroix white wines have a mouth‐filling, medium‐weight, biscuity flavour profile and are produced from the classic 3‐grape blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.
The domain now covers 11 hectares across 7 villages in the Marne and Aisne valleys, providing a variety of micro‐climate conditions and terroirs. ‘Old vines’ of between 30 and 50 years age account for two thirds of the Champagne Lacroix vineyards. This reduces production yield but importantly enhances grape quality, and ultimately increases the complexity of their wines
Producer’s day at Champagne+Fromage is the occasion for us to present how great Champagne Lacroix is!
A little bit about us…
The brainchild of entrepreneurial husband and wife team, Stefano Frigerio and Maud Fierobe (French Bubbles), and together with Leblais’s Brothers (Une Normande à Londres), Champagne + Fromage is an artisan bistro and deli specialised in cheese and Champagne tasting secreted away on Wellington Street and Gallic at its most gorgeous: displays of Champagne, cheeses and charcuterie make for quite the chic centerpiece, whilst mismatched furniture and reclaimed materials complete the picture.
Comptoir+Cuisine is their personnal take on a more French Tapas style of Bristro in the heart of Bath. Still offering their famous Grower Champagne and artisans’ cheeses but offering a proper and delicious cuisine with a vast selection of wines.

”CHAMPAGNE + FROMAGE IS BRILLIANT – HOW COULD IT BE ANYTHING ELSE?
“I was particularly impressed by Maud’s passion for her subject and her continued support for independent family-owned producers. For connoisseurs and novices alike, I strongly recommend it. You will not be sorry.”
